This policy is a general template describing how Turnwell's referral model handles your information. It has not yet been reviewed by an attorney and should be reviewed for compliance with applicable state and federal law, including contractor-referral and consumer-protection requirements, before launch.
What Turnwell is
Turnwell is a referral network. We connect property owners with independent local service providers. We do not perform the requested work, employ providers, or manage your property.
Information we collect
When you submit a service request, we collect the information you provide: your name, email, phone number, property address, city, ZIP code, property type, requested service category, a description of the work, preferred date, urgency, optional budget, and any photos you choose to share in the future once photo uploads are enabled.
How we use it and who we share it with
We use this information to review your request and connect you with an independent service provider. With your consent, we share relevant request details with a provider so they can contact you about your request. That provider is an independent business and is responsible for how it handles your information once shared, subject to its own practices.
Referral compensation
Turnwell may receive a referral commission from a provider when a connection we make leads to work. This does not affect the price you're quoted by a provider.
Advertising and analytics
We use Google's advertising tag to measure which of our ads lead to service requests. It may set cookies in your browser and send Google information about your visit, such as the pages you view. You can control or block these cookies in your browser settings or through Google's ad settings.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent. We do not collect contractor payments, deposits or project funds on your behalf.
Security
Submitted information is stored in access-restricted systems available only to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Retention and your choices
We keep request information as long as needed to serve you and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your information by contacting us.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the revised version on this page.
